Spectators: 7710 (Terracing: 5784, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Magno Faria took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute, Contos Gauchescos's Edmílson de Amorim ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Afonsinho da Mata. Afonsinho da Mata yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Magno Faria scored 2-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afonsinho da Mata, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Afonsinho da Mata made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Raymond Naets sent off a good shot on target. Celso Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Hector Crescencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sixto Colon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raymond Naets could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Afonsinho da Mata made a huge save. In the 26th minute, Kléberson Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonsinho da Mata was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Raymond Naets capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Raymond Naets really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. 41 minutes into the game, Magno Faria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Afonsinho da Mata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 51 played minutes Rajado got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson Queiroz. Afonsinho da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmílson de Amorim in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rajado's Wágner Fontes got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 61st minute Saturnino Osoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erivaldo Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Sixto Colon notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Rajado's Afonsinho da Mata. Afonsinho da Mata was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Magno Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Osoro in the 69th minute of play forced Rajado's goalkeeper Afonsinho da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Rajado's Erivaldo Veiga got a free kick in the 71st minute. After some careless play in the Rajado defense, Edmílson de Amorim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonsinho da Mata. The Rajado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonsinho da Mata should have stopped the shot. Sixto Colon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho da Mata having to interfere. Afonsinho da Mata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Magno Faria's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. After 79 played minutes Rajado got a freekick which was hit by Celso Zanette. A collision led to Rajado getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Erivaldo Veiga hit a great ball. Afonsinho da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magno Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonsinho da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymond Naets in the 88th minute of play. Celso Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Contos Gauchescos were the better team. Contos Gauchescos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
