Laerte Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 毛明昆, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Laerte Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 毛明昆's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, MILLENNYUM RACING's goal looked a bit too open when 毛明昆 came free, but Laerte Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gildo Teixeira hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Laerte Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 毛明昆, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Proteu were awarded a corner. Dudu de Castro went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Qu Wei managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 0-1 became the score in the 19th minute when 毛明昆 elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 毛明昆 in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laerte Amorim saved MILLENNYUM RACING from getting behind. The audience was convinced that 毛明昆's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laerte Amorim was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 25th minute, Alex Seedorf left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Proteu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 毛明昆 in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laerte Amorim saved MILLENNYUM RACING from getting behind. When 毛明昆 came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Proteu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 毛明昆 couldn't finish the play. Proteu's Alex Seedorf suffered a concussion in the 31st minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Paulão Leite fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MILLENNYUM RACING's protests and gave Paulão Leite a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Proteu booed when MILLENNYUM RACING was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulão Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 毛明昆 in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laerte Amorim saved MILLENNYUM RACING from getting behind. 38 minutes into the match, MILLENNYUM RACING's goal looked a bit too open when Qu Wei came free, but Laerte Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Qu Wei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laerte Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. MILLENNYUM RACING's Laerte Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 毛明昆 in the 44th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 毛明昆 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, 毛明昆 dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Laerte Amorim, 0-5. Proteu's Hamílton Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Proteu's 毛明昆 ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Laerte Amorim. Laerte Amorim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. With a little luck, MILLENNYUM RACING's Laerte Amorim got control of the ball when 毛明昆 tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, MILLENNYUM RACING's Eduardo Nogueira got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Gildo Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 72 played minutes MILLENNYUM RACING got a freekick which was hit by Gildo Teixeira. In the 73rd minute of the game, Ricardinho Piazza landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Vânderson Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the game, Reinaldo Salles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MILLENNYUM RACING's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Proteu the free kick. In the 75th minute, Reinaldo Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If 毛明昆 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laerte Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by 毛明昆 in the 81st minute. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, 毛明昆 put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Laerte Amorim. Dudu de Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dudu de Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th match minute, Proteu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dudu de Castro to maneuver through the defense. After 89 played minutes Hamílton Berger rounded MILLENNYUM RACING's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-9. 毛明昆 succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-10 in the 93rd playminute. Laerte Amorim stood somewhat misplaced when 毛明昆 came free in front of goal and shot 0-11 to the left of him in the 96 minute. The MILLENNYUM RACING fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Proteu were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
