In the 19th minute, one of vascão o Melhor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for vascão o Melhor. Kevin Muro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The referee ignored ITAMARATY's protests and gave Virgílio Domingues a yellow card for diving instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mané Urbano to make the kick off. After 50 played minutes ITAMARATY got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Goiano. After having played for 52 minutes, Luiz Guilherme Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. vascão o Melhor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Guilherme Vinhas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 87 minutes vascão o Melhor's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tytus Cielencki who took care of the corner kick. 87 minutes into the game, Luisinho de Amaral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ITAMARATY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave vascão o Melhor the free kick. In the 87th match minute, ITAMARATY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisinho de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. Kevin Muro made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Leonel Madureira sent off a good shot on target.
