The Caravelas FC fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Caravelas FC's Dráuzio Loureiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Roger de Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marquinhos Teixeira's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Damian Fetor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráuzio Loureiro in the 18th minute of play. With his leg Roger de Lara managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when FÊNIX F.C.'s Marquinhos Teixeira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Bengt Bouchard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 27th match minute, FÊNIX F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Gabriel Damião to maneuver through the defense. If Dráuzio Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Damian Fetor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yan Corrêa in the 34th minute of play. Damian Fetor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráuzio Loureiro in the 35th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, João Paulo Prata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd match minute, FÊNIX F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yan Corrêa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Caravelas FC's Josh Mikaelsen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pedro Luís Pereira in the 51 minute of the game. Damian Fetor made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Yan Corrêa sent off a good shot on target. Roger de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt Bouchard in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Marquinhos Teixeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roger de Lara was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Dráuzio Loureiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Damian Fetor made a huge save. Roger de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquinhos Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute Yan Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Fetor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damian Fetor came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Caravelas FC's Dráuzio Loureiro. But to his dismay, Dráuzio Loureiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. FÊNIX F.C.'s Valério Zonta was substituted for Tiago Gabriel Damião. FÊNIX F.C. made a substitution. Arthur Loureiro replaced Genílson Ferraz. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Caravelas FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
