With a little luck, Caravelas FC's Roger de Lara got control of the ball when Elpidio Espiridion tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caravelas FC's goalkeeper Roger de Lara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Elpidio Espiridion reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Roger de Lara. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 29th minute, Corinthians's Elpidio Espiridion ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roger de Lara. Roger de Lara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Roger de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Espiridion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elpidio Espiridion's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roger de Lara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Corinthians booed when Caravelas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Recife didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elpidio Espiridion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Natã Pirani came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Corinthians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natã Pirani couldn't finish the play. Roger de Lara made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Elpidio Espiridion sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Espiridion in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roger de Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yan Corrêa's late challenge caught a Corinthians's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yan Corrêa helped the player get up and apologised. Caravelas FC's Roger de Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Caravelas FC from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yan Corrêa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Elpidio Espiridion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 minutes of play, Corinthians's Elpidio Espiridion made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger de Lara was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Robinho Amaral got free with Jaime Almeida in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Robinho Amaral hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Roger de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Espiridion, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The audience was convinced that Elpidio Espiridion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roger de Lara was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Elpidio Espiridion scored 5-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roger de Lara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roger de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Espiridion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Caravelas FC defense, Elpidio Espiridion kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roger de Lara. The Caravelas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger de Lara should have stopped the shot. 76 minutes into the match, Caravelas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Espiridion came free, but Roger de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute of the match Corinthians got a corner. Caravelas FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rudolf Speed ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Caravelas FC's Josh Mikaelsen got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Rudolf Speed got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roger de Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Espiridion in the 83rd minute of the match. Robinho Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Elpidio Espiridion took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roger de Lara. Roger de Lara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. There was no doubt that Corinthians were the better team. Corinthians's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
