FÊNIX F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marquinhos Teixeira in the 14th minute. After some careless play in the Vingadores F.C U23 defense, Arthur Loureiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gualter de Brito. The Vingadores F.C U23 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gualter de Brito should have stopped the shot. When Hernani Vianna fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vingadores F.C U23's protests and gave Hernani Vianna a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute Marquinhos Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juliane Álvarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juliane Álvarez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vingadores F.C U23's Gualter de Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Vingadores F.C U23 from getting a goal against them. Juliane Álvarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kauã Moreno made a great header on FÊNIX F.C.'s corner, it was just that Vingadores F.C U23's Gualter de Brito managed to reach the ball for a save.
