Roger de Lara made a fantastic save in the 2nd minute, when Agostinho Carneiro sent off a good shot on target. Luiz Guilherme Paraense did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Roger de Lara 12 minutes into the match. Edvaldo Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fernando Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex de Alcântara during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Alex de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 26 played minutes Caravelas FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fernando Saldanha. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Guilherme Paraense in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roger de Lara saved Caravelas FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Caravelas FC's Robinho Amaral got a free kick in the 29th minute. Alex de Alcântara hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. SAS's Luiz Guilherme Paraense was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 34th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Roger de Lara successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Agostinho Carneiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roger de Lara having to make a save. In the 43rd match minute, Caravelas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robinho Amaral to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute, Edgar Salles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Guilherme Paraense to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Caravelas FC's zone, Agostinho Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger de Lara came out of the goal and Agostinho Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caravelas FC's Roger de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme Paraense in the 54th minute of play. If Edgar Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agostinho Carneiro in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roger de Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 59th minute, Edgar Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yan Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Edvaldo Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Guilherme Paraense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roger de Lara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Roger de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agostinho Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Caravelas FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Robinho Amaral hit a great ball. Robinho Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Roger de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. When Mário Rosa fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caravelas FC's protests and gave Mário Rosa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, Mário Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute, Júlio Saraiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80th minute, Alex de Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edvaldo Brasil was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 84th play minutes Luiz Guilherme Paraense shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Roger de Lara and just under the crossbar into goal. SAS's Luiz Guilherme Paraense got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SAS had won after a very even match.
