Luizão Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Albuquerque in the 10th minute of play. Sagatyba Esporte Clube's Luizão Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesley Albuquerque in the 11th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Sagatyba Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wambasther Cavani to maneuver through the defense. Caravelas FC's Wesley Albuquerque got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Sagatyba Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. David Ramalho hit a great ball. Caravelas FC's Alex de Alcântara suffered a sore thigh after 20 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Natanael Soares fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sagatyba Esporte Clube's protests and gave Natanael Soares a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sagatyba Esporte Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! After some careless play in the Sagatyba Esporte Clube defense, Marcelo Coutinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luizão Rezende. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yeferson Soteldo to strike the kick off in the second half. Wesley Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Luizão Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dedê Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 55 minutes into the match, Sagatyba Esporte Clube's Dedê Alvarenga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luiz Lago narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luizão Rezende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fernando Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolas Moura charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolas Moura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th minute, one of Caravelas FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caravelas FC. Caravelas FC:s Pedro Luiz Lago showed great skill when he stopped Tião Souto:s penalty. A collision led to Sagatyba Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Franklin Araújo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Wesley Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a rather tough play, Sagatyba Esporte Clube's Erasmo Vander got a free kick in the 85th minute. Sagatyba Esporte Clube's Adhemar Galvão was substituted for Dedê Alvarenga. Erasmo Vander kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Caravelas FC's Marcelo Coutinho couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 87th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sagatyba Esporte Clube. 92 minutes into the game, Wesley Albuquerque lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Luizão Rezende. Caravelas FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
