Pedro Luiz Lago was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 11 minutes into the match, Caravelas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Seco came free, but Pedro Luiz Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Manituba's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Pinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Fernando Saldanha. Ezequiel Andrade took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Luiz Lago. Pedro Luiz Lago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 35th minute Wesley Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Augusto Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caravelas FC's Pedro Luiz Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Andrade in the 36th minute of play. After 38 minutes Caravelas FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Caco Batista who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Caco Batista almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Caravelas FC's Pedro Luiz Lago did a great save. After a rather tough play, Caravelas FC's Josh Mikaelsen got a free kick in the 40th minute. Ezequiel Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luiz Lago having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Manituba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arlindo de Salles to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th match minute, Manituba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caco Batista to maneuver through the defense.

When Ezequiel Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Manituba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Andrade couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute, Manituba's Ezequiel Andrade ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Luiz Lago. Pedro Luiz Lago yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. 59 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Andrade lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Pedro Luiz Lago. Pedro Luiz Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Andrade in the 64th minute of the match. Ezequiel Andrade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Pedro Luiz Lago made a huge save. With a little luck, Caravelas FC's Pedro Luiz Lago got control of the ball when Alois Cambuquira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ezequiel Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Augusto Pinho having to interfere. Juninho Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Pedro Luiz Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Andrade in the 80th minute of play forced Caravelas FC's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Caravelas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Andrade came free, but Pedro Luiz Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Alois Cambuquira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 92 minutes, Ezequiel Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manituba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Manituba's Pedro Luiz Lago threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ezequiel Andrade, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 96th minute, one of Caravelas FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caravelas FC. Pedro Luiz Lago went to the wrong direction when Caco Batista was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 99th minute, Manituba's Ezequiel Andrade ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Luiz Lago. Pedro Luiz Lago yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Manituba's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
