Ruy Abreu took the corner. Ruy Abreu made a great header on zelene's corner, it was just that Acarahu EC's Dênis Prestes managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to zelene getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ruy Abreu hit a great ball. When Acarahu EC's Hélio Damião in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye zelene's goalie prevented a goal. Hélio Damião scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elias Valladares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elias Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélio Damião in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute Hélio Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Valladares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Sandrinho Paulista dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dênis Prestes, 1-1. In the 38th minute Joélson Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dênis Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Aníbal Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Valladares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hélio Damião went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severino Chan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes zelene got a freekick which was hit by Geert Weinands. After a rather tough play, Acarahu EC's Marcus Meira got a free kick in the 54th minute. Dênis Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandrinho Paulista in the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Severino Chan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Dênis Prestes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Geert Weinands took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dênis Prestes. Dênis Prestes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. 66 minutes into the match, Acarahu EC's goal looked a bit too open when Sandrinho Paulista came free, but Dênis Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Severino Chan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Dênis Prestes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. zelene were furious when Valdemar de Alcântara was red carded, 75 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 74th minute, one of zelene:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for zelene. Elias Valladares had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Doriva Bastos's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. zelene's Elias Valladares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save zelene from getting a goal against them. Acarahu EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Doriva Bastos in the 81st minute. Severino Chan took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dênis Prestes. Dênis Prestes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. If Severino Chan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Acarahu EC booed when zelene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Dante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severino Chan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Severino Chan made a precise shot to the right of Dênis Prestes. Acarahu EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-3. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. zelene fully deserved thier win.
