Ruy Monteiro hit a great ball. In the 10th minute Toke Chute shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bento Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mário Amaral scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bento Paranaense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnaldo Mota's late challenge caught a Figueirense - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnaldo Mota helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, LRCA Office Club's Arnaldo Mota got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the last second Fiori Furlan throw himself and got hold of the ball when Caco Souza in the 23rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Percy Loureiro hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 30 minutes, Délio Meireles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LRCA Office Club and the Figueirense - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Délio Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. If Ruy Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruy Monteiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Fiori Furlan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Figueirense - FSCMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. LRCA Office Club were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnaldo Mota was the one to do the kick off. If Mário Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Rui Sabóia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fiori Furlan. LRCA Office Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rui Sabóia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Fiori Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruy Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 64th match minute, Figueirense - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. Adalberto Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Antolin Alcaraz kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Ruy Monteiro took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fiori Furlan. Fiori Furlan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After having played for 90 minutes, Caco Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Figueirense - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caco Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Rui Sabóia sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and LRCA Office Club's Fiori Furlan didn't even have to move. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Figueirense - FSCMZ had won after a very even match.
