The supporters of BENACHIOS F.C booed when Vasco Lima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Messias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vasco Lima's Crescencio Veleña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei Queiroz in the 18th minute of play. Thor Grøtting who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Crescencio Veleña when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Crescencio Veleña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 张剑德, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Vasco Lima's Crescencio Veleña got control of the ball when Thor Grøtting tried to sneak it across the goal line. Crescencio Veleña was a little too slow when Thor Grøtting got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-0. Crescencio Veleña was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Thor Grøtting capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Thor Grøtting really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. After 33 played minutes Vasco Lima got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Vides. Nuno Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Claudinei Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Crescencio Veleña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Carlos Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Messias in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thor Grøtting made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Thor Grøtting shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Crescencio Veleña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thor Grøtting spun around in front of the goal 52 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Vasco Lima's goal. A collision led to Vasco Lima getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Válter Penha hit a great ball. Crescencio Veleña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 张剑德, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Aurel Bocșa's late challenge caught a Vasco Lima's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vasco Lima's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thor Grøtting was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 90th match minute, BENACHIOS F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thor Grøtting to maneuver through the defense.
