The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rubens Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto da Cunha in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Itaretama's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Orhun Taran was slow to take the kick. During this time Guarani Futebol Clube's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Orhun Taran almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Itaretama's Rubens Moura did a great save. Karl Kaaaas kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Tao Si Feng kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adalberto de Moraes. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. In the 20th minute, Orhun Taran made a precise shot to the right of Rubens Moura. Itaretama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by 程笑斐 in the 26th minute of play forced Itaretama's goalkeeper Rubens Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Itaretama's Rubens Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 程笑斐 in the 30th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Ian Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 程笑斐 took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rubens Moura. Rubens Moura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 程笑斐 in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rubens Moura saved Itaretama from getting behind. Tao Si Feng kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. After the first half Guarani Futebol Clube were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filomeno Revuelta to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, 程笑斐 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubens Moura. Itaretama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 程笑斐 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Adalberto de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tao Si Feng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adalberto de Moraes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tao Si Feng's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. After having played for 69 minutes, Orhun Taran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guarani Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orhun Taran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Itaretama fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! In the 79th minute, Răzvan Hizo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 81 played minutes Itaretama got a freekick which was hit by Juvenal Freitas. Orhun Taran struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Rubens Moura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guarani Futebol Clube. 89 minutes in the game Venancio Adrio did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Fellipe Queirós. Adalberto de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tao Si Feng in the 94th minute of play. When the match was over Guarani Futebol Clube could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Itaretama throughout the match.
