Tony de Salles took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guto Neves. Guto Neves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Alfredinho Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Só de Fula F.C.'s Leonardo Barreto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Filipe Netto. That made the score 1-1 after 7 minutes of play. In the 11th minute, Tony de Salles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guto Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 14th minute, Leonardo Barreto made a precise shot to the right of Filipe Netto. Maraja's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. A collision led to Maraja getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Thiago Camargo hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Só de Fula F.C.'s Afonso Cabral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filipe Netto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Só de Fula F.C.'s Guto Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho Vasconcelos in the 20th minute of play. Jeferson Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Filipe Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, Maraja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betão Vergílio to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the game, Hudson Luz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Só de Fula F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maraja the free kick. The supporters of Maraja booed when Só de Fula F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Durval de Souza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guto Neves skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Só de Fula F.C.'s Afonso Cabral slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Filipe Netto. That made the score 4-2 after 34 minutes of play. A nice corner shot did that Willian de Moraes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Filipe Netto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Só de Fula F.C.'s goalkeeper Guto Neves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony de Salles in the 40th minute of play forced Só de Fula F.C.'s goalkeeper Guto Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Maraja booed when Só de Fula F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Maraja's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Barreto came free, but Filipe Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filipe Netto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeferson Lucas in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Willian de Moraes was the one to do the kick off. Willian de Moraes might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filipe Netto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Willian de Moraes ran back to his position shaking his head. Só de Fula F.C.'s Leonardo Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Tony de Salles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guto Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. Filipe Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Leonardo Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Só de Fula F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Leonardo Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filipe Netto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Afonso Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guto Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony de Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. If Jeferson Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gláuber Senna fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Só de Fula F.C.'s protests and gave Gláuber Senna a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, Gláuber Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, João Pedro Palmeira notched a goal, 4-4, to the right of Só de Fula F.C.'s Guto Neves. Guto Neves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Willian de Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute Willian de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Pedro Palmeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Guto Neves made a huge save. After having played for 94 minutes, Tony de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maraja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tony de Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chants of Maraja echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Só de Fula F.C. had held the ball for most of the match.
