Palestra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 12 minutes, Răzvan Hizo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guarani Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Răzvan Hizo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the S. E. Palestra defense, Fausto da Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gláuber Ramalho. The S. E. Palestra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gláuber Ramalho should have stopped the shot. In the 20th match minute, Guarani Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Modrić to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Guarani Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Adalberto de Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toninho Pereira. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toninho Pereira to make the kick off. After 53 minutes Guarani Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Toninho Pereira who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Betão Vaz managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guarani Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Adalberto de Moraes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexsandro Massa during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gláuber Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orhun Taran in the 60th minute of the match. Gláuber Ramalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orhun Taran in the 62nd minute. When Nicolas de Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S. E. Palestra's protests and gave Nicolas de Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. Nicolas de Amaral hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 71st match minute, S. E. Palestra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Pereira to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute Ricardo Beckenbauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gláuber Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. E. Palestra's Gláuber Ramalho. Gláuber Ramalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gláuber Ramalho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 程笑斐 went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Guarani Futebol Clube's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
