Elias Pombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filomeno Revuelta, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Filomeno Revuelta kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elano Maia in the 33rd minute of play forced Biriguy's goalkeeper Elias Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Biriguy booed when Itaretama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elano Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dorian Dracena hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tao Si Feng in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Pombal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 40 minutes, Juvenal Freitas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itaretama and the Biriguy players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes Itaretama got a freekick which was hit by Juvenal Freitas. In the 43rd minute Filomeno Revuelta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Karl Kaaaas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sílvio Sabóia to make the kick off. Elias Pombal made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Tao Si Feng sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th minute Filomeno Revuelta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Itaretama's Tao Si Feng tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 59thth minute of the game Filomeno Revuelta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Biriguy's Elias Pombal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 65th minute of the match, Filomeno Revuelta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Elias Pombal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Elias Pombal came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Itaretama's Filomeno Revuelta. But to his dismay, Filomeno Revuelta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Itaretama's Tao Si Feng slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elias Pombal. That made the score 0-3 after 70 minutes of play. Sílvio Sabóia hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Artur Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubens Moura having to interfere. With his leg Elias Pombal managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Itaretama's Filomeno Revuelta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 85 minutes into the game, Dorian Dracena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Biriguy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itaretama the free kick. Dorian Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. A collision led to Biriguy getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Enéas Monteiro hit a great ball. Filomeno Revuelta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Pombal having to interfere. If Tao Si Feng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 minutes of play, Itaretama's Filomeno Revuelta made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elias Pombal was left in no man's land by his defense there!
