Itaretama were furious when Elano Maia was red carded, 20 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When Fellipe Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itaretama's protests and gave Fellipe Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes Itaretama got a freekick which was hit by Fellipe Queirós. Cícero Breckenfeld struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Rubens Moura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Agroboys SM - CIMZ. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Natanael Prata stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Itaretama's Válter Alagoano threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Filomeno Revuelta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Itaretama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filomeno Revuelta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filomeno Revuelta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Válter Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Agroboys SM - CIMZ's goalkeeper Válter Alagoano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Válter Alagoano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Revuelta in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Filomeno Revuelta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaretama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filomeno Revuelta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as Itaretama's Filomeno Revuelta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Válter Alagoano. That made the score 0-2 after 93 minutes of play. The Agroboys SM - CIMZ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Itaretama were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
