Filipe Braga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Afonsinho Marques firmly grabbed it by the left post. 28 minutes into the game, Fala Sério FC's Kauan Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Palestrinos F.C's Rubens Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Azevedo in the 46th minute of play. If André Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeremias Moreira made a kick off. André Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Palestrinos F.C's zone, Anselmo de Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubens Vale came out of the goal and Anselmo de Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When André Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Fala Sério FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Azevedo couldn't finish the play. André Azevedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rubens Vale having to make a save. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Palestrinos F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. André Azevedo was slow to take the kick. During this time Fala Sério FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Fala Sério FC's Benê Aguiar getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Fala Sério FC made a substitution. Vito de Salles replaced Jairo Souto. One of Fala Sério FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Palestrinos F.C:s goal. In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Palestrinos F.C. Percy Pires stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Afonsinho Marques. 1-3. Fala Sério FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
