André Azevedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacinto Loureiro having to make a save. Jacinto Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geronimo Ignatius's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Afonsinho Marques firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 17th minute, Geronimo Ignatius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Afonsinho Marques made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Geronimo Ignatius sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute of the match Marília AC got a corner. Fala Sério FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abel Barros ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Tomás Marques managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 27th match minute, Marília AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geronimo Ignatius to maneuver through the defense. Fala Sério FC's Afonsinho Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akın Seccac in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Azevedo in the 37th minute of play forced Marília AC's goalkeeper Jacinto Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marília AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Akın Seccac was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thanks to some nice moves André Azevedo could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Jacinto Loureiro however easily saved by the left post. Afonsinho Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Akın Seccac in the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Fala Sério FC's André Azevedo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Benê Aguiar made in the 61st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Marília AC's Betinho Souto. 63 minutes into the match, Marília AC's Geronimo Ignatius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonsinho Marques narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Marília AC booed when Fala Sério FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fala Sério FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo de Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Loureiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Afonsinho Marques came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Marília AC's Renatinho de Souza. But to his dismay, Renatinho de Souza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.
