Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) Biriguy's Sílvio Sabóia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filomeno Revuelta in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias Pombal saved Biriguy from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filomeno Revuelta in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Pombal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Filomeno Revuelta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Pombal having to interfere. Rubens Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Sabóia in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to Itaretama getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Fellipe Queirós hit a great ball. Artur Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Filomeno Revuelta put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Elias Pombal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filomeno Revuelta in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. After having played for 21 minutes, Filomeno Revuelta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaretama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filomeno Revuelta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sílvio Sabóia's late challenge caught a Itaretama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sílvio Sabóia helped the player get up and apologised. Bruce Banner lost his temper 27 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. If Filomeno Revuelta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 played minutes Biriguy got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Peixoto. After some careless play in the Biriguy defense, Filomeno Revuelta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elias Pombal. The Biriguy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elias Pombal should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Filomeno Revuelta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elias Pombal was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filomeno Revuelta in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Pombal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rubens Moura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filomeno Revuelta made a kick off. Juvenal Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th match minute, Biriguy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorian Dracena to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the game, Itaretama's Filomeno Revuelta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elias Pombal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Biriguy's Elias Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Revuelta in the 74th minute of play. When Filomeno Revuelta came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Itaretama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filomeno Revuelta couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Biriguy's goalkeeper Elias Pombal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st match minute, Itaretama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juvenal Freitas to maneuver through the defense. Juvenal Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 91 minutes, Filomeno Revuelta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaretama's attack was well implemented in the 93rd minute, but when Filomeno Revuelta was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. When the referee ended the match the Itaretama players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
