Matt Ryan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filomeno Revuelta in the 36th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filomeno Revuelta in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matt Ryan saved F.Salgado F.C. from getting behind. Rubens Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Moreno, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filomeno Revuelta to make the kick off. Paulo José França kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Itaretama were furious when Bruce Banner was red carded, 54 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.
