Spectators: 7719 (Terracing: 5790, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jeremias Moreira started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes S. E. Palestra got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Trevisan. In the 3rd minute Jeremias Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gláuber Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palestrinos F.C were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after S. E. Palestra's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Percy Pires took the corner. In the 4th match minute, Palestrinos F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Braga to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Fernandinho Novaes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. S. E. Palestra's Gláuber Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Veiga in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute Jeremias Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gláuber Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 minutes of play, Palestrinos F.C's Túlio Veiga made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gláuber Ramalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th minute, Filipe Braga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeremias Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The S. E. Palestra fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when S. E. Palestra's Ernani Baptista looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Palestrinos F.C booed when S. E. Palestra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandinho Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vágner da Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rubens Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Vágner da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S. E. Palestra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vágner da Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Ernani Baptista kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rubens Vale. That made the score 2-1 in the 46 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernani Baptista made a kick off. Toninho Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Rubens Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th match minute, Palestrinos F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Túlio Veiga to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th match minute, Palestrinos F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Túlio Veiga to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the game, Rafa Loyola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S. E. Palestra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palestrinos F.C the free kick. A collision led to S. E. Palestra getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Rafa Loyola hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernani Baptista in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rubens Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th match minute, S. E. Palestra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustão Freire to maneuver through the defense. Gláuber Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 72 minutes of play, Palestrinos F.C's Jeremias Moreira made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gláuber Ramalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aníbal Dias during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Palestrinos F.C getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Aníbal Dias hit a great ball. Vágner da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubens Vale having to interfere. After some careless play in the S. E. Palestra defense, Percy Pires kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gláuber Ramalho. The S. E. Palestra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gláuber Ramalho should have stopped the shot. In the 83rd minute, Palestrinos F.C's Túlio Veiga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gláuber Ramalho. Gláuber Ramalho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. After 87 minutes of play, Palestrinos F.C's Túlio Veiga made it 2-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gláuber Ramalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 91st minute of the match Dino Abraão sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gláuber Ramalho skillfully saved the ball. Tomé Trevisan hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Jeremias Moreira came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gláuber Ramalho could save by the left post. In the 96thth minute of the game Jeremias Moreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S. E. Palestra's Gláuber Ramalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Palestrinos F.C had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
