To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 6 minutes into the game, Marco Hoffmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rubens Vale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 9th minute, Laerte Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rubens Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 14 played minutes Palestrinos F.C got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Paes. The audience was convinced that Túlio Veiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franklin Esteves was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Franklin Esteves was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Túlio Veiga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 29 minute of play. Jeremias Moreira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Franklin Esteves skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Zeca Medeiros got a free kick in the 37th minute. After 37 played minutes, Palestrinos F.C's Percy Pires shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Franklin Esteves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Palestrinos F.C reached it. Filipe Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Esteves having to interfere. Rubens Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Laerte Mazza fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palestrinos F.C's protests and gave Laerte Mazza a yellow card for diving instead. 46 minutes into the game, one of Palestrinos F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeremias Moreira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marco Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rubens Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis Porto in the 58th minute of play. Marco Hoffmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rubens Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute, Túlio Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Evandro da Fonseca was substituted for Cícero Breckenfeld. Agroboys SM - CIMZ's Cleiton Medeiros was substituted for Inácio Queirós. Rubens Vale was a little too slow when Régis Porto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 2-3. Franklin Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Braga in the 84th minute of the match. Rubens Vale was a little too slow when Marco Hoffmann got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 2-4. Evandro da Fonseca's late challenge caught a Palestrinos F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evandro da Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Evandro da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Túlio Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Esteves having to interfere. In the 95th minute Percy Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Laerte Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
