Spectators: 7460 (Terracing: 5741, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 45) Clube Athletico Valão's Júnior Negri started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luiz Fábio Zonta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pedro Couto in the 5th minute of the match. Júnior Negri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Fábio Zonta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. If Júnior Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Piraputanga's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Negri came free, but Luiz Fábio Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute João Pedro Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fábio Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Elias Lucas came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Piraputanga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Lucas couldn't finish the play. After 16 played minutes Piraputanga got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Leal. In the 17th minute of the match Dedê Souza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Fábio Zonta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Elias Lucas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Virgílio Madureira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Piraputanga's Elias Lucas got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Piraputanga's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Zonta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Júnior Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fábio Zonta having to interfere. When Júnior Negri fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube Athletico Valão's protests and gave Júnior Negri a yellow card for diving instead. 31 minutes into the match, João Pedro Couto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Fábio Zonta. Piraputanga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Pedro Couto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 34 minutes into the game, Elias Lucas lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Virgílio Madureira. The Clube Athletico Valão fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Clube Athletico Valão's João Pedro Couto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 43 played minutes Piraputanga got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho Vieira. Júnior Negri struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Luiz Fábio Zonta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Athletico Valão. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elias Lucas made a kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Elias Lucas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clube Athletico Valão's Virgílio Madureira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 57 played minutes Piraputanga got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Leal. After a defensive mix-up in Piraputanga's zone, João Pedro Couto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fábio Zonta came out of the goal and João Pedro Couto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Duarte Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. João Pedro Couto scored 1-3 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Fábio Zonta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Lucas in the 69th minute of play forced Clube Athletico Valão's goalkeeper Virgílio Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Pedro Couto might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Fábio Zonta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Pedro Couto ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fábio Salles got free with Luiz Fábio Zonta in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute Clube Athletico Valão were awarded a corner. Dedê Souza went to the cornerflag to take it. Virgílio Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Fábio Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Negri in the 82nd minute of play. João Pedro Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Clube Athletico Valão booed when Piraputanga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duarte Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Clube Athletico Valão supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Clube Athletico Valão would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
