When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Tomás Leme took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Paulo José Ceresso to make any attempt to save it. Cachaceiros FC were furious when Rony Gerber was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. INTERNACIONAL could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cachaceiros FC throughout the match.
