Freire FC's Álvaro Porto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlos Eduardo Toledo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Álvaro Porto having to make a save. 15 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Lavet came free, but Amadeu Lamego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Jairo Dante put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Álvaro Porto. Luisinho Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Álvaro Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Meirelles in the 43rd minute of the match.
