Gil Valerón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerald Buffon came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Sagarana Clube's Serafim Barros. But to his dismay, Serafim Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 14thth minute of the game Gil Valerón who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sagarana Clube's Benedito Trigo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gerald Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Éder Madureira in the 19th minute of play. When Alfa FC's Gil Valerón in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sagarana Clube's goalie prevented a goal. Gil Valerón fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedito Trigo having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Valerón came free, but Benedito Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Éder Madureira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Gerald Buffon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gerald Buffon was a little too slow when Marco Torres got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 2-0. If Marco Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedito Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Valerón, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gil Valerón to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gil Valerón in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benedito Trigo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benedito Trigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gil Valerón's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. The Alfa FC fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Alfa FC's Gil Valerón looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marco Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerald Buffon having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Serafim Barros put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gerald Buffon. Gerald Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Valerón came free, but Benedito Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Sagarana Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benê Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. Sagarana Clube's Yu Yang Sang was substituted for Serafim Barros. After 74 played minutes Sagarana Clube got a freekick which was hit by Benê Hoffmann. Yu Yang Sang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gil Valerón in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedito Trigo saved Sagarana Clube from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Torres in the 84th minute of play forced Alfa FC's goalkeeper Gerald Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfa FC's Gerald Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Torres in the 90th minute of play. After 92 minutes, Yan Moreno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sagarana Clube and the Alfa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
