In the 40th match minute, Besouro SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Scarlet Metal FC booed when Besouro SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedê Dionísio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Istivan Crainic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Fernando Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Besouro SS's Istivan Crainic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstantin Ksirihi in the 46th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Edmílson Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jailson Paranaense to make the kick off. Jailson Paranaense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Fernando Severo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Istivan Crainic came out and tried to block the shot, but Carlos Fernando Severo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 63rd minute. Besouro SS's Istivan Crainic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstantin Ksirihi in the 66th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Zé Kobra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toninho Lago was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Istivan Crainic made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Régis Paiva sent off a good shot on target. After 72 minutes, Carlos Fernando Severo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scarlet Metal FC and the Besouro SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Scarlet Metal FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Istivan Crainic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Fernando Severo in the 76th minute of the match.
