The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lauro Oliveira during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But to his dismay, Augusto Cavalcante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wellington Charles was the one to do the kick off. Bonifacio Loi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Lauro Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serafim Nogueira struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Afonso Loyola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guaraçai Esporte Clube. After having played for 61 minutes, Augusto Cavalcante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaraçai Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Cavalcante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind ᗰ¡яεu Δหgεłร's goalkeeper Afonso Loyola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Ariel Flor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute, Guaraçai Esporte Clube's Wellington Charles ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Afonso Loyola. Afonso Loyola yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Gilmar Arce charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilmar Arce the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had been going on for 74 minutes, Guaraçai Esporte Clube's Wellington Charles got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Afonso Loyola. 80 minutes into the match, ᗰ¡яεu Δหgεłร's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington Charles came free, but Afonso Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wellington Charless short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Afonso Loyola to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lauro Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Afonso Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, ᗰ¡яεu Δหgεłร's Afonso Loyola got control of the ball when Toninho Toscano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wellington Charles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Toninho Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Guaraçai Esporte Clube's Augusto Cavalcante slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Afonso Loyola. That made the score 1-7 after 100 minutes of play. When the match was over Guaraçai Esporte Clube could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ᗰ¡яεu Δหgεłร throughout the match.
