After 13 played minutes Campinense FC got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Domingues. A collision led to Arrumatretas getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Laerte Marquez hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Baltazar Quadros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan-Ove Telin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, Anselmo Maranhense notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Campinense FC's Bryan Cortés. Bryan Cortés was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gino Gonçalves was the one to do the kick off. Arrumatretas's Iwo Karbowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Domingues in the 65th minute of play. Gino Gonçalves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bryan Cortés read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Dé Andrade left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arrumatretas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. If Jan-Ove Telin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th match minute, Arrumatretas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Maranhense to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Campinense FC defense, Dé Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bryan Cortés. The Campinense FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bryan Cortés should have stopped the shot. Jan-Ove Telin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iwo Karbowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Anselmo Maranhense put it in 0-9 from a short distance just to the right of Bryan Cortés. The Arrumatretas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Arrumatretas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
