Thanks to some nice moves Wágner Peixoto could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Iwo Karbowski however easily saved by the left post. After 7 played minutes Arrumatretas got a freekick which was hit by Hortêncio Almeida. In the 11thth minute of the game Anselmo Maranhense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avantchê's Dênis Travassos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th minute Gino Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dênis Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Anselmo Maranhense sped through Avantchê's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dênis Travassos. Dênis Travassos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Maranhense in the 26th minute of the match. 0-3 became the score in the 29th minute when Gino Gonçalves elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Dênis Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino Gonçalves in the 38th minute of play. Gino Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino Gonçalves in the 45th minute of play forced Avantchê's goalkeeper Dênis Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dênis Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Gino Gonçalves put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Dênis Travassos. After the first half Arrumatretas were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gino Gonçalves made the kick off in the second half. Gino Gonçalves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Dênis Travassos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With his leg Dênis Travassos managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Arrumatretas's Gino Gonçalves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dênis Travassos was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Anselmo Maranhense capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anselmo Maranhense really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Anselmo Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abel Cerezo hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Anselmo Maranhense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dênis Travassos. Avantchê's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Maranhense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Gino Gonçalvess short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Dênis Travassos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 78 played minutes Avantchê got a freekick which was hit by Abel Cerezo. After having played for 83 minutes, Gino Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arrumatretas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gino Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anselmo Maranhense in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dênis Travassos saved Avantchê from getting behind. A collision led to Avantchê getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Agostinho Quadros hit a great ball. Arrumatretas's Dé Andrade was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 91st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 96 minutes into the game, Dé Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arrumatretas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Avantchê the free kick. The supporters of Avantchê booed when Arrumatretas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dé Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gino Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Avantchê fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Arrumatretas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
