The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Norberto Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Dedé Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute Dinei Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedé Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Haridades F.C's Dinei Porto in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience was convinced that Dinei Porto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dedé Maranhense was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dinei Porto in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dedé Maranhense saved Ferroviário de Tucuruí from getting behind. Dedé Maranhense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 47 minutes into the match, Norberto Madureira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dedé Maranhense. Ferroviário de Tucuruí's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norberto Madureira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The Ferroviário de Tucuruí players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Haridades F.C were winning 0-4.

In the 54th minute, Conrado de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ferroviário de Tucuruí's João Augusto Sampaio got a free kick in the 57th minute. The supporters of Ferroviário de Tucuruí booed when Haridades F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Augusto Sampaio charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Augusto Sampaio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 63 played minutes Ferroviário de Tucuruí got a freekick which was hit by João Augusto Sampaio. Dinei Porto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. When the match was over Haridades F.C could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ferroviário de Tucuruí throughout the match.
