Eda Roots's Benjamin Eger got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 4th minute, Dorival Bueno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 6 played minutes, Eda Roots's Oséas Peres shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alan Antunes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Eda Roots reached it. 13 minutes into the game, Dorival Bueno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alan Antunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th minute Dorival Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute Eda Roots were awarded a corner. Oséas Peres went to the cornerflag to take it. Eda Roots's Ronaldão Arósio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Eda Roots from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as EC Fragata's Célio Nogueira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ronaldão Arósio. That made the score 1-1 after 21 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, EC Fragata's Célio Nogueira got a free kick in the 24th minute. Alan Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Bueno in the 25th minute of the match. Oséas Peres hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. EC Fragata's Antônio Alcântara shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 27th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ronaldão Arósio but with some difficulty. Eda Roots's Antonio Manuelo got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alan Antunes came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Eda Roots's Luiz Fábio Moreno. But to his dismay, Luiz Fábio Moreno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Alan Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Bueno in the 39th minute of the match. Alan Antunes came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Eda Roots's Dorival Bueno. But to his dismay, Dorival Bueno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Alan Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Eger in the 42nd minute of the match. Aloísio Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Ronaldão Arósio made a huge save. In the 44th minute, Dorival Bueno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alan Antunes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Célio Nogueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Ronaldão Arósio made a huge save. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dorival Bueno made a kick off. Eda Roots's Ronaldão Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Abreu in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Antonio Manuelo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alan Antunes, 1-5. Ronaldão Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Damião in the 56th minute of the match. Alan Antunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorival Bueno's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. The Eda Roots fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Eda Roots's Dorival Bueno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 64th minute, Gilmar Damião made a precise shot to the right of Ronaldão Arósio. Eda Roots's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-6. Ronaldão Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilmar Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Eda Roots's Antonio Manuelo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alan Antunes. That made the score 2-7 after 74 minutes of play. After 77 minutes, Adrianinho Alvarenga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EC Fragata and the Eda Roots players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th match minute, EC Fragata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. Alan Antunes was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Dorival Bueno capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dorival Bueno really showed his touch with that goal: 2-8. Ronaldão Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilmar Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute, Gilmar Damião ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldão Arósio was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-8. In the 87th minute, Eda Roots's Benjamin Eger ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alan Antunes. Alan Antunes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-9. EC Fragata's Alan Antunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save EC Fragata from getting a goal against them. Alan Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fábio Moreno in the 94th minute of the match. Alan Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Bueno in the 95th minute of play. Benjamin Eger struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Alan Antunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eda Roots. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Eda Roots had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
