In the 12th minute, Emerson Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 吴升梁 in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dida Mazzola, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Yan Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Dida Mazzola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dida Mazzola made an important save on a dangerous shot by 吴升梁 in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the match, SPFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dráuzio Valadares came free, but Dida Mazzola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luisinho Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Dida Mazzola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráuzio Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Herminio Izel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Herminio Izel came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the SPFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herminio Izel couldn't finish the play. After having played for 40 minutes, 吴升梁 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esporte Clube Pilar's supporters crossed their fingers, but 吴升梁 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulo Victor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Prosperi, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. SPFC's Dida Mazzola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Valadares in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When 吴升梁 came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Esporte Clube Pilar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 吴升梁 couldn't finish the play. Herminio Izel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Paulo Victor made a huge save. Nadjib Aksan kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, SPFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dráuzio Valadares came free, but Dida Mazzola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to SPFC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Eurico Sousa hit a great ball. Dida Mazzola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bautista Quintero, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 64 played minutes SPFC got a freekick which was hit by Eurico Sousa. 71 minutes into the match, Dráuzio Valadares notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of SPFC's Dida Mazzola. Dida Mazzola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ernesto Prosperi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Victor having to interfere. In the 78th minute Dráuzio Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Mazzola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Esporte Clube Pilar's 吴升梁 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dida Mazzola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herminio Izel got free with Paulo Victor in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the SPFC defense, Dráuzio Valadares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dida Mazzola. The SPFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dida Mazzola should have stopped the shot. Ernesto Prosperi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as SPFC's Herminio Izel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulo Victor. That made the score 3-1 after 94 minutes of play.
