In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eda Roots's goalkeeper Ronaldão Arósio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Eda Roots getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Claudinei Barbosa hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Eda Roots's Ronaldão Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 吴升梁 in the 52nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Dráuzio Valadares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronaldão Arósio was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game.
