The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Herminio Izel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edson Maciel didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when SPFC's Pit Bull shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Prosperi in the 7th minute of play forced ABC RN's goalkeeper Edson Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Luisinho Mangueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Edson Maciel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ernesto Prosperi scored 0-3 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edson Maciel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When SPFC's Herminio Izel in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ABC RN's goalie prevented a goal. Dida Mazzola was a little too slow when Doriva Paraense got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-3. After 20 minutes of play, SPFC's Luisinho Mangueira made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edson Maciel was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Przemyslaw Ankiewicz got free with Dida Mazzola in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute of the game Délio Nóbrega made a throw-in which Alexander Skarkman played forward. Pit Bull struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Edson Maciel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SPFC. José Maria Rocha succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-4 in the 35th playminute. Przemyslaw Ankiewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th match minute, ABC RN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Przemyslaw Ankiewicz to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, SPFC's Ernesto Prosperi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edson Maciel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute of the match SPFC got a corner. ABC RN's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pit Bull ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Kuzey Şahinter almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ABC RN's Edson Maciel did a great save. In the 44th minute, Pit Bull ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edson Maciel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. If Pit Bull had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Prosperi to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Prosperi in the 53rd minute of play forced ABC RN's goalkeeper Edson Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind ABC RN's goalkeeper Edson Maciel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. ABC RN's Edson Maciel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save ABC RN from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute, SPFC's Luisinho Mangueira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edson Maciel. Edson Maciel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-7. Ernesto Prosperi hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Prosperi got free with Edson Maciel in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edson Maciel came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by SPFC's Ernesto Prosperi. But to his dismay, Ernesto Prosperi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-8. If Pit Bull had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the game, Pit Bull cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-9. Edson Maciel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 84 minutes into the match, SPFC's goal looked a bit too open when Doriva Paraense came free, but Dida Mazzola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Prosperi took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edson Maciel. Edson Maciel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-10. Edson Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisinho Mangueira in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Herminio Izel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-11. Edson Maciel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. SPFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
