Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Emanuel Vigil kicked off to start the match. Emanuel Vigil might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henrique Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Vigil ran back to his position shaking his head. Morena EC's Henrique Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Vigil in the 3rd minute of play. Emanuel Vigil scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrique Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emanuel Vigil took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henrique Amorim. Henrique Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 11th minute, Gabriel Delassus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henrique Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Vigil in the 13th minute of the match. After having played for 16 minutes, Nelsinho Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelsinho Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Vigil in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henrique Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 19 minutes into the game, Emanuel Vigil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Henrique Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Vigil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henrique Amorim was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Henrique Amorim came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Fernandinho Galvão. But to his dismay, Fernandinho Galvão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 26 minutes into the match, Morena EC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Vigil came free, but Henrique Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 0-5 became the score in the 27th minute when Emanuel Vigil elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Vigil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henrique Amorim was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 33rd minute Emanuel Vigil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Vigil in the 36th minute of play forced Morena EC's goalkeeper Henrique Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Emanuel Vigil put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Henrique Amorim. Henrique Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Vigil went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-9 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guga Mota to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Vigil in the 58th minute of play forced Morena EC's goalkeeper Henrique Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 played minutes Tony Tavares rounded Morena EC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-10. 62 minutes in the game, Emanuel Vigil fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Henrique Amorim having to interfere. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Emanuel Vigil got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henrique Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Vigil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Peter Paul Crouch was substituted for Emanuel Vigil. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Morena EC's goalkeeper Henrique Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Henrique Amorim was a little too slow when Peter Paul Crouch got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-12. PEÇONHENTO FC MG made a substitution. Fabiano Munhoz replaced Fernandinho Galvão. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Munhoz in the 78th minute of play forced Morena EC's goalkeeper Henrique Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th match minute, Morena EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgílio Bastos to maneuver through the defense. Henrique Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Paul Crouch's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. The PEÇONHENTO FC MG fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Peter Paul Crouch looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-13 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Paul Crouch in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrique Amorim saved Morena EC from getting behind. Peter Paul Crouch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Henrique Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrique Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tarcisio Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After 95 played minutes Morena EC got a freekick which was hit by Enio Velloso. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Nelsinho Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelsinho Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrique Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
