To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 18 played minutes Sangue nos Zóio got a freekick which was hit by Remo Galvão. Alfredo de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Henrique Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Egídio Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrique Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvaldo Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Morena EC's Henrique Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvaldo Bastos in the 26th minute of play. Alfredo de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Henrique Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Egídio Ortiz was the one to do the kick off. Clemente Esteves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo de Brito in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henrique Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Morena EC's Celso Capixaba got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 86th minute, Egídio Ortiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Morena EC's Henrique Amorim got control of the ball when Jeremias Marques tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Egídio Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Sangue nos Zóio could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Morena EC throughout the match.
