With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marquinhos Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá Moura in the 15th minute of play forced Lucas Juniors's goalkeeper Marquinhos Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Ivo Figueiredo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marquinhos Faria was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Dorian Soares charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorian Soares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dorian Soares hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 28thth minute of the game Ivo Figueiredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lucas Juniors's Marquinhos Faria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marquinhos Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Figueiredo in the 34th minute of play. In the 39th minute Dadá Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marquinhos Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomé Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fabiano Donatello in the 86th minute of the match. Marquinhos Faria made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Dadá Moura sent off a good shot on target. Lucas Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Ivo Figueiredo scored to the left of an out of position Marquinhos Faria, making the score, 0-7. In the 95th minute, Ernesto Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomé Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Furlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
