This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Paulão Breckenfeld as he didn't even see the shot coming. 20 minutes into the game, Afligidos's Zé Roberto Aguiar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gil Paes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. 29 minutes into the match, Zé Roberto Aguiar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gil Paes. Guaecá MZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Roberto Aguiar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. In the 37th minute, Afligidos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Suárez Rado fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Zé Roberto Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Zanette could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Paulão Breckenfeld made a huge save. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guaecá MZ's goalkeeper Gil Paes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Afligidos's goalkeeper Paulão Breckenfeld, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Aguiar in the 67th minute of play forced Guaecá MZ's goalkeeper Gil Paes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Zé Roberto Aguiar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-6.
