Osmar Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Bueno having to interfere. When Rony Pena fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maracajau EC's protests and gave Rony Pena a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Maracajau EC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Rony Pena hit a great ball. Pedro Guilherme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Bueno having to interfere. Artur Bueno made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Pedro Guilherme sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute, Percival França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Guilherme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Osmar Branco reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Artur Bueno. The goal made the score 6-0. In the 37th minute, Pedro Guilherme had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Percival França charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Percival França the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Maracajau EC! Marco Recife hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Maracajau EC's Artur Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvis Thomas in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lambis Dimitropoulos was the one to do the kick off. When Lambis Dimitropoulos came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Internacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lambis Dimitropoulos couldn't finish the play. If Marco Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elvis Thomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70thth minute of the game Lambis Dimitropoulos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maracajau EC's Artur Bueno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Artur Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvis Thomas in the 74th minute of the match. Internacional's Odoy Pradhana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Pena in the 75th minute of play. Osmar Branco struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Artur Bueno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Internacional. Maracajau EC's Artur Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lambis Dimitropoulos in the 81st minute of play. The Internacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Internacional fully deserved thier win.
