Cametá SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corinthians Paulistano the free kick. After 8 played minutes Cametá SC got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Diegotxe. The throw-in from Naci Değirmenci in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cametá SC's Jacinto Trevisan. Enéas Passos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Romário Porto made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Nilton Martins put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Romário Porto. 23 minutes into the game, Nilton Martins lined in a short shot 4-0 behind a frustrated Romário Porto. Armandinho Fernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Romário Porto made a huge save. 27 minutes into the match, Cametá SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ramón Pernambucano came free, but Romário Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 played minutes Corinthians Paulistano got a freekick which was hit by Nilton Martins. After a rather tough play, Corinthians Paulistano's Alex Braddell got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Giovanni Schmidt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Melchor Valery went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Romário Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armandinho Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Augusto Diegotxe notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Corinthians Paulistano's Giovanni Schmidt. Giovanni Schmidt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 47 played minutes Cametá SC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Trevisan. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anísio Lira was the one to do the kick off. Cametá SC's Jacinto Trevisan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Naci Değirmenci, made in the 57th minute of the game. 60 minutes into the match, Cametá SC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilton Martins came free, but Romário Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Naci Değirmenci made in the 63rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cametá SC's Jacinto Trevisan. Romário Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilton Martins in the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Ramón Pernambucano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Corinthians Paulistano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nilton Martins in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romário Porto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 85th match minute, Cametá SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melchor Valery to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilton Martins in the 90th minute of play forced Cametá SC's goalkeeper Romário Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Corinthians Paulistano getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Alex Braddell hit a great ball. Cametá SC's Paulinho Vides got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romário Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enéas Passos in the 96th minute of play. Cametá SC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
