Baiaco Futebol Arte's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nilton Martins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Corinthians Paulistano's Armandinho Fernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabiano de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enéas Passos in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Pernambucano in the 33rd minute of play forced Baiaco Futebol Arte's goalkeeper Fabiano de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Baiaco Futebol Arte's goal looked a bit too open when Armandinho Fernandez came free, but Fabiano de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilton Martins did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-9 to the left of a surprised Fabiano de Queiroz 91 minutes into the match. The Baiaco Futebol Arte fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Corinthians Paulistano were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
