Chico Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enéas Passos in the 14th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juninho Trigo got free with Giovanni Schmidt in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giovanni Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Nova Era's goal looked a bit too open when Ramón Pernambucano came free, but Chico Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Corinthians Paulistano booed when Nova Era was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugênio Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ramón Pernambucano came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Corinthians Paulistano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramón Pernambucano couldn't finish the play. Chico Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enéas Passos in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nova Era's Cristian Soeiro got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The supporters of Corinthians Paulistano booed when Nova Era was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Westphal didn't get a good kick on the ball.
