Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Brusque FC's Duarte dos Santos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute Delfim Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Brusque FC defense, Delfim Breckenfeld kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Moreira. The Brusque FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Moreira should have stopped the shot. Duarte dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Duarte dos Santos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ian Paranaense came out and tried to block the shot, but Duarte dos Santos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Baptista in the 21st minute of play forced Brusque FC's goalkeeper Cristian Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute André Luís Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Gernando Berger notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Brusque FC's Cristian Moreira. Cristian Moreira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Brusque FC's Cristian Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernando Berger in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Delfim Breckenfeld left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Golden State Warriors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Laércio Velloso put in a rough tackle. Robert Banciu walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After the first half Golden State Warriors were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gernando Berger made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Golden State Warriors got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Botelho. Ian Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Contaldi in the 63rd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Delfim Breckenfeld was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golden State Warriors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brusque FC the free kick. The Brusque FC fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Brusque FC's Duarte dos Santos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Delfim Breckenfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Moreira made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Gernando Berger sent off a good shot on target. Delfim Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Cristian Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Golden State Warriors eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
