Spectators: 7720 (Terracing: 5791, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ian Pires started the match with the kick off. After 7 minutes of play, SC FERRARI's Ian Pires made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jarbas Gonçalves was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Fluxo's Paulo Cebo got a free kick in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Eriberto Valadares notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of SC FERRARI's Fernando Otero. Fernando Otero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The score was 2-1 after a penalty in the 19th minute, where SC FERRARI:s Dito Loyola tricked Fluxo:s Jarbas Gonçalves with a difficult ball by the left post. Romário Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Fernando Otero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Pires in the 26th minute of play forced Fluxo's goalkeeper Jarbas Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarbas Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinaldo de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarbas Gonçalves made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Reinaldo de Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. Fernando Otero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Castro in the 31st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Ian Pires put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jarbas Gonçalves. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Orlando Castro made the kick off in the second half. SC FERRARI's Fernando Otero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Valadares in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Eriberto Valadares fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Fernando Otero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iratze Toxeiro in the 55th minute of the match. Jarbas Gonçalves came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by SC FERRARI's Reinaldo de Medeiros. But to his dismay, Reinaldo de Medeiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Jarbas Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinaldo de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmundo de Sousa lost his temper 77 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Jarbas Gonçalves had in the 78thth minute some difficulties stopping Dito Loyola's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Baltazar Peres's late challenge caught a SC FERRARI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baltazar Peres helped the player get up and apologised. Dito Loyola shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. When Orlando Castro fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fluxo's protests and gave Orlando Castro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC FERRARI booed when Fluxo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Otero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iratze Toxeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo Cebo's late challenge caught a SC FERRARI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Cebo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th minute, Paulo Cebo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 99 minutes, Ian Pires mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC FERRARI and the Fluxo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 99th match minute, SC FERRARI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Pires to maneuver through the defense.
