Spectators: 7688 (Terracing: 5767, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Valer Zbuchea got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Ajax AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilvan Porto came free, but Ronaldinho Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ajax AFC booed when CUIABÁ EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Douglas Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Carvalho having to interfere. Vivaldo Carvalho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Douglas Cabral went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Vivaldo Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandão Azevedo in the 17th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Fernandão Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vivaldo Carvalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Valer Zbuchea sped through CUIABÁ EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vivaldo Carvalho. 24 minutes into the match, Douglas Cabral notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of CUIABÁ EC's Vivaldo Carvalho. Vivaldo Carvalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 27 played minutes CUIABÁ EC got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Peres. When Ajax AFC's Valer Zbuchea in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CUIABÁ EC's goalie prevented a goal. The Ajax AFC fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Ajax AFC's Valer Zbuchea looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vivaldo Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toninho Scherer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valer Zbuchea in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vivaldo Carvalho saved CUIABÁ EC from getting behind. CUIABÁ EC's Vivaldo Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valer Zbuchea in the 42nd minute of play. Vivaldo Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Cabral in the 44th minute of the match. Douglas Cabral might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vivaldo Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Douglas Cabral ran back to his position shaking his head. The CUIABÁ EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ajax AFC were winning 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilvan Porto was the one to do the kick off. Valer Zbuchea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Carvalho having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Valer Zbuchea put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Vivaldo Carvalho. Douglas Cabral's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vivaldo Carvalho firmly grabbed it by the left post. After taking down the ball on Ajax AFC's corner Evaristo Urbano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vivaldo Carvalho quite easily take care of the ball. CUIABÁ EC's Vivaldo Carvalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save CUIABÁ EC from getting a goal against them. Valer Zbuchea in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vivaldo Carvalho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 66th minute, Ajax AFC's Valer Zbuchea ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vivaldo Carvalho. Vivaldo Carvalho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Valer Zbuchea did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-8 to the left of a surprised Vivaldo Carvalho 69 minutes into the match. Osvaldo Quintal charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osvaldo Quintal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th match minute, CUIABÁ EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Quintal to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Douglas Cabral took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Vivaldo Carvalho to make any attempt to save it. In the 82nd minute, Valer Zbuchea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 84 minutes of play, Ajax AFC's Douglas Cabral made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vivaldo Carvalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th match minute, Ajax AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandão Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Valer Zbuchea struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Vivaldo Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ajax AFC. In the 90th minute, CUIABÁ EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fernandão Azevedo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Kléber Peres fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CUIABÁ EC's protests and gave Kléber Peres a yellow card for diving instead. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CUIABÁ EC! When the match had been going on for 94 minutes, Ajax AFC's Evaristo Urbano got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vivaldo Carvalho. In the 97th match minute, CUIABÁ EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Saraiva to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valer Zbuchea in the 99th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vivaldo Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over Ajax AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CUIABÁ EC throughout the match.
