Spectators: 7691 (Terracing: 5769, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gilvan Porto started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Johnny Marco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raiders FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Johnny Marco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vivaldo Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teofilo Cayo struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Vivaldo Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Raiders FC. In the 6th minute, Teofilo Cayo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Osvaldo Quintal fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CUIABÁ EC's protests and gave Osvaldo Quintal a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, CUIABÁ EC's Vivaldo Carvalho got control of the ball when Teofilo Cayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vivaldo Carvalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teofilo Cayo in the 11th minute. Johnny Marco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sandrinho Fonseca scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dé Arce, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in CUIABÁ EC's zone, Johnny Marco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vivaldo Carvalho came out of the goal and Johnny Marco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Johnny Marco fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Dé Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandrinho Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dé Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Porto in the 27th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Johnny Marco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vivaldo Carvalho. That made the score 2-1 in the 28 minute of play. In the 34th minute, Marcel Cruz made a precise shot to the right of Vivaldo Carvalho. CUIABÁ EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Dé Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandrinho Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johnny Marco might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vivaldo Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Johnny Marco ran back to his position shaking his head. Mateus Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teofilo Cayo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Vivaldo Carvalho made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teofilo Cayo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in CUIABÁ EC's zone, Johnny Marco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vivaldo Carvalho came out of the goal and Johnny Marco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the game, Mateus Amaral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Vivaldo Carvalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Teofilo Cayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Carvalho having to interfere. In the 65th minute of the match Jairo Matorin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dé Arce skillfully saved the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Raiders FC's goalkeeper Dé Arce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Paulo Queirós. 68 minutes into the match, CUIABÁ EC's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Marco came free, but Vivaldo Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johnny Marco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Carvalho having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateus Amaral in the 73rd minute of play forced CUIABÁ EC's goalkeeper Vivaldo Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teofilo Cayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Carvalho having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Raiders FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilvan Porto came free, but Dé Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Johnny Marco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Vivaldo Carvalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Johnny Marco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Johnny Marco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Vivaldo Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 88 minutes of play, Raiders FC's Johnny Marco made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vivaldo Carvalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rd minute, CUIABÁ EC's Sandrinho Fonseca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dé Arce. Dé Arce yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-2.
