The supporters of COPO CHEIO booed when Gruna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Tasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, José Vítor Mesquita notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Gruna's Beto Vides. Beto Vides was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 10th match minute, Gruna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Rabelo to maneuver through the defense. Sílvio Luís de Salles succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 12th playminute. COPO CHEIO's José Vítor Mesquita got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Douglas de Brito hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Percy Monteiro hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Beto Vides was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and José Vítor Mesquita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. José Vítor Mesquita really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. 29 minutes into the game, José Vítor Mesquita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Beto Vides was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Beto Vides didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Vítor Mesquita went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Sílvio Luís de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Vides having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 8-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sílvio Luís de Salles made a kick off. Claudinho Guimarães struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Beto Vides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for COPO CHEIO. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Luís de Salles in the 54th minute of play forced Gruna's goalkeeper Beto Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58thth minute of the game Sílvio Luís de Salles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gruna's Beto Vides was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Claudinho Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. COPO CHEIO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinho Guimarães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The COPO CHEIO fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when COPO CHEIO's José Vítor Mesquita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, COPO CHEIO's Dino Teles got a free kick in the 69th minute. After 74 minutes, José Vítor Mesquita made it 10-0 with a short kick to the right side. Gruna's Beto Vides tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Beto Vides stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sílvio Luís de Salles's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute, José Vítor Mesquita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The COPO CHEIO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 11-0. After 89 played minutes Gruna got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Eger. Xalbador Zaplana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Gruna's Túlio Teles got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
