Lobzeiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simão da Silveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 28 played minutes Lobzeiro got a freekick which was hit by Dé Varela. 29 minutes into the game, Umberto Alves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Kaká Porto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kaká Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kaká Porto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emerson Vander's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, Lobzeiro's Leonel do Vale got a free kick in the 35th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Augusto Loureiro made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Emerson Vander could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Kaká Porto however easily saved by the left post. Simão da Silveiras short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Kaká Porto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lobzeiro's Kaká Porto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Lobzeiro from getting a goal against them. Simão da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Porto having to interfere. When Lobzeiro's Wilian de Souza in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
